Instead of meeting someone face to face, why not video call them? If you’re using apps like WhatsApp or have an iPhone with FaceTime, this can be a great way to catch up and avoid feeling isolated.
Some schools are already teaching classes remotely with some teachers even using apps likes Instagram! Contact your children’s school and ask them if they’re planning to keep running classes over services like Zoom or Google Classroom.
Many people have gotten really creative when it comes to fending off cabin fever when staying at home and self-isolating. Keeping in touch with loved ones by video call is very popular, even if you’re not feeling isolated. It’s also a great way to reach out to someone who might be feeling lonely. Also, keep an eye out on Instagram and YouTube for free classes and events. Some musicians are streaming gigs over YouTube while yoga instructors are giving classes on Instagram Live.
