That depends! Did you request to Switch Broadband provider when you purchased your new connection? If you did, you’re existing broadband plan will be automatically cancelled. If you didn’t call customer care on 1913 and we’ll organise the cancelation for you.

To unlock your device, you must go directly through your current mobile network provider who will provide you with an unlocking code once you are eligible.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible to receive a unlock code for your device, you need to have met the following conditions.

1. Have purchased your device directly off your mobile network.
2. Have reached minimum contract requirements.

a.     For Bill Pay customers, you are required to have completed your minimum contract term.

b.     For Prepay customers, a specific top up threshold must have been met ranging from €120 to €200 depending on provider.

I am eligible, what’s next?

Once you have met your provider’s minimum requirements, you must first find your IMEI number by dialling *#06#. A 15 digit number will appear on screen that you will need to take note of.

You will then need to contact your existing provider by phone or through their website to request your code. This may take 3-21 days depending on your service provider and your device make and model.

Once you have received your code, follow the instructions sent by your service provider to unlock your device.
