Managing a Three Account Following a Bereavement

If you’ve recently lost a loved one, we’re very sorry for your loss. We know this can be a difficult time, and we’ll do our best to make things as easy as possible for you.  

 

Account options

If you’re responsible for managing a loved one’s account, you have two options. You can choose to either close the account or transfer the account to a prepay account. Whatever you decide to do, our dedicated bereavement team will handle things sensitively and go through these options in more detail with you.

 

Process for account changes following bereavement

1. Collect information - to register the bereavement, we will need the following:

(a) Deceased customer's first and last name, phone number, account number, county and Eircode, and email address

(b) Death certificate or rip.ie death notice

(c) Requester's first and last name, email address and contact number

2. Decide if you want to close the account or change it to a prepay account

3. Contact our dedicated team at customer.first@three.ie

4. We'll email you to confirm the details and take it from there
