Annual Price Increase
From October 2023 customers that enter a new contract for certain plans, will be subject to an annual price increase for as long as they stay on that contract.
Under the terms of the contract, the monthly recurring charge will increase every April, on a compound basis, based on the annual rate of inflation as set out by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in January of that year, with an additional 3%. In the event that the CPI rate is zero or negative, there will be no CPI adjustment, but the 3% increase will still apply.
The annual rate published in January relates to the CPI from December to December in the preceding year. The CPI measures the overall change in the prices of goods and services that people typically buy over time. The Central Statistics Office (CSO) is Ireland's national statistical office, and their purpose is to impartially collect, analyse and make available statistics about Ireland’s people, society and economy. You can find out more information and the annual CPI rate from here.
We understand that the cost-of-living crisis continues to have an impact on our customers, however, our business is also experiencing a significant increase in supplier and network costs on an ongoing basis. As a result, Three has made this decision in an effort to combat these increased costs of running the business, while ensuring continued investment into Three’s mobile network.
