Protected Disclosures

Find out more about Three’s Protected Disclosures policy.

Three is committed to the highest standards of openness and accountability and recognises that members of the public have a very important role to play in achieving this objective.

The purpose of this policy is to encourage people to make a disclosure in respect of matters which they reasonably believe to be examples of impropriety or malpractice, whether committed in Ireland or abroad, without fear of reprisal.

The Protected Disclosures Policy covers the disclosures of information which, in the reasonable belief of the individual making the disclosure, tends to show one or more of the following:

  • Commission of criminal offences
  • Failure to comply with legal obligations
  • Endangering the health and safety of individuals
  • Damaging the environment
  • Miscarriage of justice, misuse of public funds
  • Oppressive, discriminatory, grossly negligent, or grossly mismanaged acts or omissions by a public body
  • Concealment or destruction of information about any of the above wrongdoing

Reporting Process

At Three, we want to act with the highest level of integrity at all times. Therefore, we want to know about any concerns people have regarding our business practices.

If someone has a concern about Three’s business activities they can report their concerns via EQS which is our Protected Disclosures Portal.

Following the confidential submission of the report, Three’s Protected Disclosures Team will review and consider next steps, which could be a confidential investigation. An investigation would be carried out by independent representatives in the business or an external investigation team.

Once the investigation is complete, Three’s Protected Disclosures Team will compile a report of their findings and next steps as below.

Where no wrongdoing has been found:

  • Three will conclude the investigation.
  • Will inform any external parties if needed.
  • Any updates to the case will be recorded in the Protected Disclosures Portal for the individual who raised the case to receive an update.
