Many still look for the iPhone 8 but it's no longer available. The iPhone SE is a great alternative that offers even more than the iPhone 8.

Launched in 2017, the iPhone 8 offered a revolutionary photographic capturing experience. A 12MP primary camera gave you the ability to great shots including 4K video.

iPhone SE camera.

While the iPhone SE launched in 2020, much of the hardware remains. You still get a 12MP primary camera and a 7MP selfie camera. The big difference is Apple's A13 Bionic chip which applies more machine learning to the image capture resulting in more accurate Bokeh style shots.

The iPhone 8 featured an 1821 mAh battery and was also the first iPhone to offer the option of wireless charging. The phone shipped with a 5W charger in the box but supported 15W fast-charging.

iPhone SE battery.

Like the camera, the 2020 iPhone SE featured the same battery specs. The phone's evolution came in the shape of the Bionic 13 chip. More efficient use of hardware and software meant the battery life improved versus the iPhone 8. The iPhone SE still ships with a 5W charger but also supports 18W fast charging and wireless charging.

This is one area where it's very difficult to find a difference between the iPhone 8 and iPhone SE. 3D Touch makes way for Haptic Touch but beyond that both phone's share the same display.
