Coverage Checker

Our network is built for data. Three has 99% 4G coverage throughout Ireland, and we now have over 90% 5G population coverage. We also offer free 5G on every price plan. We are also Ireland’s largest mobile telecommunications provider with 45.5% market share with over 4.3 million customers (as of September 2023).

Getting started is easy. You’ll need a 5G phone, one of our new 5G bill pay plans (or a 5G booster on prepay) and 5G coverage.

Check the coverage map above to see 5G coverage in your area. If you’re in a coverage area, you should be good to go.

The following steps should help you with any coverage issues:

• Use the coverage checker to make sure there’s coverage in your area
• Power your phone off and back on
• Try your SIM in another phone or another SIM in your phone to rule out any other problems.

Handset manufacturers and all 5G Operators are eager to ensure that 5G mobile devices will get the best 5G experience. This means work is still underway with Three Ireland to support 5G access for a very limited number of 5G handsets. Visit three.ie for the latest list of 5G supported handsets (variants of which are all fully supported) if you are bringing your own 5G handset to Three.
