    How do I use the internet on my phone?

     

    There is no need to change any settings on your phone, however you will need to change your homepage. To do this,
    1.       Open your internet browser or select web.
    2.       Enter the following web address: http://mobile.3ireland.ie/hb/HutchKey
    3.       Once this page has loaded, it’s a good idea to bookmark this page or set it as your homepage.

    How do I send picture messages?

    Your existing phone needs to be updated with 3’s picture message settings, so that you can access the internet. All of our phones are slightly different, but the following should help you find and change the relevant settings:

    1. Go to Settings > Message settings > Picture Message/MMS
    2. For the messaging server, please enter http://mms.um.3ireland.ie:10021/mmsc
    3. For the Access Point (APN) setting, please enter 3ireland.ie

    Can I get Planet 3?

     

    Yes, just follow the instructions in “How do I use the internet on my phone” FAQ and you will be automatically be taken to the Planet3 homepage.

    Please remember that some of our content is restricted to 3 phones only. Below is a guide to what’s available:

    Internet – All links to internet sites such as Google, eBay etc will work. Email on 3, Skype and Windows Live applications are not available yet.
    Music - You can download video and ringtones, but not music tracks.
    Tunes & Pics – You can download Tunes, but Pics & Flicks won’t work.
    TV - You can access mobile TV, however you might need to change your streaming settings to the 3 Access Point (APN), which is 3ireland.ie
    Free Stuff - You can access free videos, however you might need to change your streaming settings to the 3 Access Point (APN), which is 3ireland.ie
    Games – You can’t download games at the moment.
    Sport – You can’t subscribe to our sports services at the moment.
    My3 - You can access billing details and buy Add-ons. If you’re asked, please set your phone type as Other.

    What services can I access with SIM only?

     

    Most of our services will work on all handsets. This includes:
    Voice & video calling
    Voicemail
    Texting (SMS)
    Picture messaging (MMS)
    Internet services e.g. Google Mail, Search, Facebook, eBay etc.
    My3 – allowing you to access your account online
    Most Planet3 services - please see Planet3 link above for more details
     
    The following services will not work on non-3 handsets at the moment:
    Skype
    Windows Live Messenger
    Email on 3
    Some Planet3 services – please see Planet3 link above for more details.
