Three’s Charity Partner – Jigsaw
Jigsaw is the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, committed to bringing about an Ireland where every young person’s mental health is valued and supported. Jigsaw is a primary care mental health service offering free, accessible, timely, impactful mental health supports for young people aged 12-25 with emerging mild to moderate mental health issues. Through a network of regional hubs Jigsaw supports young people to deal with present and future challenges to their mental health and building their resilience and coping skills. Three supports Jigsaw through an employee skills based volunteering programme, employee fundraising and a corporate donation. In addition, Three is also helping Jigsaw to deliver eJigsaw a first of its kind innovative, digital portal to help connect young people to better mental health.
School’s Business Partnership
During 2014, Three joined the Schools Business Partnership programme run by Business In The Community. We are partnering with St. Josephs School in Fairview, Dublin, where employee volunteers are working with 5th year students to impart education and career advice over a series of workshops.
In March 2014, Samaritans Ireland launched a new free to call number, 116 123, for people who are struggling to cope. The number will make it possible for people to access the service round the clock, every single day of the year, free of charge. The new free to call number has been made possible by a partnership between Samaritans and the telecommunications industry.
Ireland’s six largest telecoms providers, including Three, have committed to a two-year funding programme for the number.
